This was one of the best customer service experiences that I can remember. Ryan called to give me an estimated time of arrival. When he arrived, he introduced himself and provided a brief background on his industry experience. He then proceeded to explain the process he would use to diagnose my AC issues. He also carefully listened to my observations and inputs. During the equipment assessment he provided an overview of what he was doing, why he was doing it, and his observations of what was working and potential causes for failure. Once fully assessed he provided me with options for repair including associated costs. His work was clean, quick, and efficient. I would not hesitate to have him come back on a future service call. Our air conditioner wouldn't start up, and we called Grapids based on the reviews, and what a wonderful experience it was! We first had someone come look at it, he did such a through review! We had multiple issues with our system, he took pictures and showed me everything, and walked me through all the issues and even called my husband to talk him through the issues as well. We then got the free quote for a new AC unit, and that experience was wonderful as well, walked us through all the options. We then proceeded with buying a new AC unit , and they installed a few days later. They arrived and got the job done quickly! The day this current heat wave began is when our central air wanted to stop working EEK! But luckily Grapids Heating and Cooling was able to schedule a diagnostic within a couple of days. Once they arrived, Ryan was great at letting us know what he was going to look at and test. When he found the problem, luckily he had the part to fix it, YAY! And since our unit is older and might have overworked during the heat, he also made sure we were aware of any additional things to look out for in the future that might cause it to act up again. Terry, the technician who came out was professional. He knew what he was doing, took photographs to show me what needed to be done, explained the differences between potential replacement parts and was also able to fill out the rebate paperwork for Consumers Energy. This means I'll get some of the money back. No one likes paying for A/C repairs, but if you're gonna have to do it you may as well experience polite, well-trained staff who aren't trying to screw you over when you do it. Nate Hoekstra
I took advantage of the BOGO offer to replace a 22 year old furnace that was starting to show its age. The estimate was in line with what I expected; warranties were very competitive. Turnaround time from estimate to day of install was an incredible one day. The installers were on-time, polite, neat, quiet, & efficient - in a word, professional. Because a condenser and a furnace were both being installed, this was a 1 1/2 day job. Other than cycling the units on turn-up and walking through their operation, including the Nest thermostat, I was hardly aware anyone other than myself was at home. With the changeable weather, I've had a chance to cycle both the A/C and the furnace. Both seem very efficient. Yes, I'd recommend Grapids. G.K.
